IT Engineer

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan; full-time, on-site work. Must be based in Kazakhstan and eligible to work there.

What you will do

• Manage the cross-platform MDM fleet, primarily macOS devices, including Apple business enrollment, application distribution, configuration policies, compliance, rollout standards, and hardware inventory.
• Maintain endpoint security through encryption, OS security baselines, agent health monitoring, coverage reporting, and migration to a new endpoint security solution.
• Administer cloud directories, SSO, provisioning, and corporate SaaS integrations using SAML, OIDC, SCIM, and claim mapping.
• Manage transactional email infrastructure, including sending domains, DNS, DKIM, DMARC, bounce investigations, and sending policies.
• Handle employee requests, ticketing, Slack integrations, onboarding, offboarding, hardware, accounts, and access.
• Support office IT infrastructure, including LAN, routing, self-hosted storage, backups, and troubleshooting access to global services from Kazakhstan.

Requirements

• A few years of experience in IT engineering or systems administration, preferably with independent ownership of technical issues in a smaller company.
• Experience managing MDM fleets at scale and writing or debugging policies beyond device enrollment.
• Hands-on experience administering cloud directories and troubleshooting SAML, OIDC, and SCIM integrations.
• Strong DNS and email authentication knowledge, solid networking fundamentals, and the ability to analyze packet captures.
• Scripting skills for automating repetitive tasks and sound judgment for independent decision-making.
• English proficiency is required for vendor support and collaboration in a multilingual team.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating a live device fleet between endpoint security agents without disrupting daily work.
• Experience with self-hosted storage, backups, and keeping global services reliable from Kazakhstan.
