Technical Writer (Quantum Sensing)

hirify.global develops and manufactures semiconductor inspection systems based on quantum sensing. Founded in 2022 as a spin-off of the Technical University of Munich, the company works with major semiconductor manufacturers and is scaling production of quantum sensing-based inspection tools.

What you will do

• Interview experts across software, hardware, electronics, optics, mechanics, and user interface engineering to turn technical knowledge into structured documentation.
• Own the complete documentation set, including user, service and maintenance manuals, installation guides, safety instructions, and quick-start guides.
• Develop consistent documentation structures, terminology, and templates across products and releases.
• Create technical illustrations and diagrams, including diagrams derived from SolidWorks CAD data.
• Maintain compliance with standards such as IEC/IEEE 82079-1, CE and the Machinery Directive, SEMI S2, and SEMI S8.
• Manage document versioning and releases in line with the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• Several years of experience writing technical documentation for complex custom machinery.
• Ability to understand complex technical systems quickly and obtain accurate information from engineering specialists.
• Clear, concise technical writing; the working language is English.
• Fluency with authoring tools such as Adobe FrameMaker or similar tools, plus illustration software.
• Structured, self-directed working style and a high standard of quality.
• A technical, scientific, or documentation background is typical, but demonstrated skills are valued over a specific degree.

Nice to have

• Experience with structured authoring, DITA, or component content management systems.
• Documentation experience for semiconductor or cleanroom equipment.
• Experience with localization and translation workflows, including AI-assisted translation and post-editing.
