TL;DR
Intern R&D (Sensing Technologies) (Water Quality): Developing and validating sensors that measure chemical parameters in industrial and municipal water with an accent on sensor design, verification testing, and measurement accuracy. Focus on improving existing sensor designs, analyzing reliability and metrology data, and solving system-requirement issues with multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Location: Vésenaz (Geneva), Switzerland; onsite R&D internship

What you will do

  • Improve the design of an existing sensor for measuring chemical parameters in industrial and municipal water.
  • Run verification tests to confirm accurate chemical measurements.
  • Contribute to product validation and reliability assessment.
  • Participate in problem-solving when the product does not meet system requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers in chemistry, physics, mechanics, electronics, and software.

Requirements

  • Background in analytical chemistry or physical chemistry.
  • Experience or knowledge of product validation, reliability, sensing technologies, and statistics related to sensor metrology.
  • Advanced French required.
  • Intermediate English required, with good oral and written comprehension.
  • Organized, curious, detail-oriented, practical, creative, and able to learn quickly.
  • Strong communication, presentation, teamwork, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
