Engineering Manager (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY office with in-person attendance expected 5 days per week

Salary: $230,000–$270,000 USD base pay annually for Zone 1, including New York, NY, plus bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead and support a team of software developers through goal setting, feedback, coaching, and career development.
• Define technical strategy and prioritize work for international products and platform systems.
• Guide architecture for backend services and localized products focused on high availability, performance, and security.
• Drive architecture and execution for crypto and other financial product launches in new regions.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and talent development.
• Partner with product, design, compliance, marketing, and engineering teams to deliver initiatives on schedule.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams to ship complex products from concept through launch and post-deployment optimization.
• Experience designing and operating distributed systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Experience delivering complex technical projects from planning through deployment.
• Clear communication with technical and business partners about technical decisions and trade-offs.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, and supporting engineering team development.
