Senior Software Engineer (AI/ML)

Location: Remote; candidates may be based in the United States or in any EMEA country where hiring is supported, including the Netherlands, Germany, Spain, Italy, the UK, and Portugal.

Salary: $167,000–$238,000 for premium US locations; $147,000–$215,000 for the US general range. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Design and implement AI-powered features across backend inference services and frontend interfaces.
• Create scalable APIs connecting database capabilities with AI/ML inference systems and internal or external services.
• Build responsive interfaces that make complex AI functionality accessible to users with different technical backgrounds.
• Integrate the product with AI/ML frameworks, tools, and ecosystem standards.
• Deploy models in production with monitoring, versioning, observability, and evaluation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in production environments.
• Experience working directly with AI/ML technologies.
• Strong TypeScript/JavaScript and React skills.
• Backend development experience with TypeScript or Python, including API design and service architecture.
• Ability to own features from concept through production with minimal supervision.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with diverse stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience building data-oriented interfaces and visualizations.
• Experience deploying AI/ML models in production, including inference APIs and vector databases.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP services for AI/ML deployment.
• Understanding of database systems and data processing pipelines; ClickHouse experience is a plus.
