What you will do

  • Define the functional architecture of the Storm propulsion engine and support subsystem integration.
  • Perform architecture trade-off studies, sensitivity analyses, risk assessments, and component selection decisions.
  • Evaluate engine architecture and operating conditions and develop functional performance models using EcosimPro and Python.
  • Define and allocate functional requirements for the engine and its subsystems.
  • Contribute to FMEA activities to support reliability and safety targets.
  • Define demonstrator architectures, analyse test data, and validate system models against test results.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or a bachelor’s degree with substantial relevant experience.
  • At least two years of experience with cryogenic propulsion systems.
  • Strong knowledge of fluid dynamics and thermodynamics.
  • Fluent English is required. German or French proficiency is an asset.
  • Basic knowledge of aerospace standards such as ECSS and NASA guidelines.
  • Experience with modelling and simulation tools such as EcosimPro and/or scripting in Python, alongside strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills.

  • Hands-on experience developing hardware from concept to working prototypes.
