Staff Engineer - Bluetooth Audio (Automotive)

Location: Bangalore, India; hybrid work with a minimum of three in-office days per week

What you will do

• Integrate Bluetooth stack solutions into embedded automotive infotainment platforms.
• Customize and optimize Bluetooth protocols and profiles for automotive environments.
• Develop and maintain production-ready software and collaborate on Android and operating system integration.
• Own Fluoride stack activities and drive technical Bluetooth solutions.
• Develop test frameworks and methodologies for Bluetooth stack testing.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to Bluetooth SIG working groups and standards activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Bluetooth protocols, profiles, and core specifications.
• Excellent programming skills in C, C++, and Java.
• Experience with Android versions, Bluetooth integration, object-oriented design, and Bluetooth debugging tools such as sniffers.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple sites, mentor team members, and drive technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience developing Bluetooth stack testing frameworks.
• Knowledge of Android HAL and lower layers.
