Fullstack Engineer (AI-native)

What you will do

• Design, build, and own full-stack features from React and Next.js interfaces through Node.js and NestJS services, APIs, and data models.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal systems and third-party financial providers.
• Translate product and business requirements into technical designs and communicate trade-offs across product, finance, operations, and compliance.
• Use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent to deliver production features.
• Review, test, secure, and harden AI-generated code before release, while maintaining repository context, prompts, documentation, and development standards.
• Build AI-powered product capabilities using LLM providers, retrieval, tool calling, evaluation harnesses, cost and latency controls, and security guardrails.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production web applications as a full-stack engineer.
• Professional experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, NestJS, and TypeORM.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and at least one NoSQL database such as MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Cassandra.
• Experience with AWS, containerised services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, RESTful APIs, microservices, and API gateways.
• Demonstrable production use of an agentic coding tool, including the ability to explain generated code, identify errors, and verify its safety.
• Understanding of secure coding, data-handling boundaries, authentication, authorisation, payment flows, cardholder data, and personally identifiable information.

Nice to have

• Production experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, or AWS Bedrock integrations, including streaming, retries, caching, token and cost control, and graceful degradation.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, structured outputs, tool calling, and LLM evaluation.
• Knowledge of OWASP risks for LLM applications, including prompt injection, insecure output handling, and sensitive information disclosure.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated domain, including PCI DSS, SOC 2, or data residency requirements.
