Fullstack Engineer (AI-native)

What you will do

• Design, build, and own full-stack product features from React and Next.js interfaces through Node.js and NestJS services, APIs, and data models.
• Build RESTful APIs and integrations with card issuing, banking, ERP, and accounting providers.
• Deliver AI-powered product capabilities using providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, and AWS Bedrock, including retrieval, tool calling, evaluations, and guardrails.
• Use agentic coding tools to decompose work, create specifications and tests, and deliver production features.
• Review, test, and harden AI-generated code, maintaining security, privacy, compliance, and data-handling standards.
• Troubleshoot production issues, participate in on-call and incident response, and improve CI/CD, tooling, and development processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building and running production web applications as a full-stack engineer.
• Strong experience with React, Next.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, NestJS, TypeORM, PostgreSQL, and at least one NoSQL database.
• Experience with AWS, containerised services, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, RESTful APIs, microservices, and API gateways.
• Demonstrable production use of an agentic coding tool such as Claude Code, Cursor, Windsurf, or GitHub Copilot.
• Ability to verify AI-generated code, apply secure coding practices, and protect cardholder, financial, and personal data.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to have

• Production experience integrating LLM APIs, including streaming, retries, timeouts, token and cost control, caching, and graceful degradation.
• Experience with retrieval-augmented generation, vector search, structured outputs, tool calling, and LLM evaluation.
• Knowledge of the OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications and its mitigations.
• Experience in fintech, payments, or another regulated domain, including PCI DSS, SOC 2, or data residency requirements.
