What you will do
- Work with the Commercial IT team on practical projects in a mining environment.
- Implement NetBox as the central source of truth for network assets and infrastructure.
- Document and validate network devices, circuits, VLANs, IP addressing, connectivity, cabling, fibre links, and site interconnections.
- Review infrastructure records, identify documentation gaps, and develop updated network topology diagrams.
- Complete stakeholder review and quality assurance, then deliver final documentation and recommendations for ongoing NetBox governance.
- Present internship experiences and key learnings to the Site Management Team.
Requirements
- Unrestricted New Zealand working rights required.
- On-site availability at Waihi from mid-November 2026 through mid-February 2027.
- Currently in the second-last or final year of a Bachelor of Information Technology, majoring in infrastructure and IT engineering.
- Strong academic performance and a demonstrated interest in the chosen field.
- Full Class 1 driver’s licence; ability to drive manual vehicles preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, teamwork, independent-working, and collaborative-working skills.
