TL;DR
Senior Engineer, Facilities Engineering (Industrial Infrastructure): Supporting the operation and development of industrial facilities, including a test laboratory, SMT line, and future large-scale manufacturing facility, with an accent on electrical distribution, HVAC, cooling systems, and controlled environments. Focus on reviewing facility designs, coordinating contractors and suppliers, and supporting projects from concept design through commissioning.

Location: Betzdorf, Luxembourg; the role supports operational facilities and construction activities at the industrial site in Koekelscheuer.

What you will do

  • Ensure the availability and performance of electrical distribution, UPS, backup power, HVAC, process cooling, and environmental-control systems.
  • Support manufacturing teams with infrastructure-related requirements and operational issues.
  • Monitor and optimize facility performance, including energy use, alarms, and reliability.
  • Act as the owner’s technical representative during the design and construction of the future production hall.
  • Review technical designs and translate manufacturing and operational needs into infrastructure specifications.
  • Coordinate manufacturing teams, engineering offices, contractors, suppliers, and external maintenance providers.

Requirements

  • Degree in electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
  • 8–15 years of experience in facilities engineering or industrial infrastructure.
  • Experience in industrial or high-tech environments such as electronics, semiconductors, or pharmaceuticals.
  • Experience with design or construction projects on the owner or contractor side.
  • Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage systems, backup power, UPS/STS/ATS engineering, HVAC, cooling, cleanrooms, and industrial utilities.
  • Experience managing contractors and external suppliers, with strong stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with BMS and facility monitoring systems.
