FPGA Silicon Validation Engineer

Location: Penang 15, Penang, Malaysia. Shift 1 (Malaysia).

What you will do

• Define and develop FPGA designs that mimic customer use models and enable silicon, IP, software, tools, and integration validation.
• Improve silicon validation environments, methodologies, design flows, processes, and tools.
• Develop lab-based test environments and synthetic test content to characterize functionality, performance, and power.
• Apply hardware- and software-level tools to achieve functional coverage and performance and power goals.
• Implement digital logic in FPGA prototypes and validate architecture and design trade-offs.
• Debug silicon bring-up issues from prototype through production and collaborate on validation strategies and test plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in post-silicon validation methodology, test planning, test development, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA validation methodologies, system validation, and debug.
• Knowledge of FPGA architecture.
• Experience or familiarity with Python and Verilog.
• Experience handling high-speed test and measurement equipment, including V93K testers, high-bandwidth oscilloscopes, high-frequency pulse or signal equipment, and power supplies.
