Senior AI Solution Engineer

Location: Vienna, Austria; hybrid work with on-site attendance 2–3 times per week.

Salary: Minimum gross annual salary of €75,000 for a full-time 35-hour week, with potential adjustments based on experience.

What you will do

• Ship AI applications through discovery, design, development, evaluation, deployment, and operation.
• Partner with functional stakeholders to identify and scope suitable AI applications.
• Translate business needs into application architecture and build on the existing AI capability stack, including gateway, retrieval, and evaluation.
• Define and execute technical and product evaluation plans using experiments and production metrics.
• Monitor adoption, evaluate application performance continuously, and iterate based on real usage data.
• Support users and leaders through demos, training, adoption activities, and on-call operations.

Requirements

• 5+ years of engineering experience, including at least 18 months building production LLM or AI application systems.
• End-to-end ownership of production AI applications across discovery, design, development, evaluation, and operations.
• Production experience with RAG, prompt engineering, and quantitative LLM application evaluation.
• Experience with production cloud systems; AWS and Bedrock are strongly preferred.
• Hands-on coding fluency, strong product judgment, and the ability to work directly with non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with on-call responsibilities for production systems and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS, marketplaces, or two-sided consumer platforms.
• Experience with AWS, Snowflake, dbt, or LLM evaluation tooling.
• Knowledge of GDPR and EU AI Act implications for user-facing AI.
