Senior Flutter Engineer

Location: New York, United States; hybrid with onsite work in NYC 2–3 days per week

Salary: $160,000–$200,000 per year; equity or variable pay may also apply.

What you will do

• Build and continuously improve rider mobile applications for booking, account management, and core rider journeys.
• Develop primarily with Flutter while contributing to native Android and iOS codebases when appropriate.
• Architect and evolve mobile infrastructure services, including app architecture, performance, and memory management.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers, and product managers to deliver polished, reliable user experiences.
• Diagnose and resolve critical production issues in live environments.
• Mentor engineers, share expertise across platforms, and provide thoughtful code reviews.

Requirements

• 5+ years of mobile development experience.
• Strong experience with cross-platform frameworks and solid native Android or iOS development using Kotlin or Swift.
• Practical experience working across Flutter and native codebases.
• Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns, performance optimization, memory management, and concurrent programming.
• Experience with Location Services, Google Maps API, and third-party mapping tools such as Mapbox.
• Collaborative, proactive, ownership-oriented approach with the ability to mentor other engineers.
