TL;DR
MLOps Engineer – Azure & AI/ML Platforms (Azure/MLflow/Python): Building and operating scalable, secure Azure-based AI platforms and production model inference services with an accent on infrastructure automation, CI/CD, observability, and reliable model deployment. Focus on designing Azure networking and governance, operationalizing the AI lifecycle with MLflow, and improving platform scalability and incident response.
Location: Hybrid role based in Cologne, Munich, or Lisbon, with office attendance required three times per week.

What you will do
- Design, implement, and operate scalable Azure infrastructure for AI and data-intensive platforms using Terraform.
- Build secure Azure networking and governance with VNETs, subnets, NSGs, Private Endpoints, RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Policies.
- Design and operate GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure, services, and AI model deployments.
- Operationalize AI use cases with MLflow, including experiment tracking, model registries, and deployment workflows.
- Deploy model inference services through REST APIs, preferably with FastAPI, and support the full AI lifecycle from experimentation to production.
- Implement observability with OpenTelemetry and Azure Application Insights while improving reliability, performance, and incident response.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience building scalable Azure infrastructure for AI platforms with Terraform.
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions, MLflow, OpenTelemetry, and Azure Application Insights.
- Strong Python skills for automation, AI integration, backend services, and tooling.
- Experience exposing AI inference services through REST APIs, with FastAPI preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Azure networking, including VNETs, subnets, NSGs, and Private Endpoints.
- Strong understanding of Azure security and governance, including IAM/RBAC, Key Vault, and Azure Policies.
Nice to have
- Experience with Agentic AI platforms, Microsoft Foundry, or Azure AI Foundry.
- Experience with LangGraph or other GenAI development frameworks.
- Knowledge of vector databases and retrieval systems, especially Azure AI Search.
- Experience optimizing costs for Azure AI infrastructure.
