Vice President of Development (Game Development)

A game studio managing a portfolio of live and new game development projects.

What you will do

• Lead the Development organization across the studio's game portfolio.
• Set development priorities, accountability structures, and operating principles for Product and Development leadership.
• Plan and allocate resources across live products, new development, technical initiatives, and future projects.
• Evaluate portfolio initiatives, define sequencing and capacity requirements, and align roadmaps with product and business objectives.
• Partner with the COO and executive leadership on development strategy, staffing, budgeting, organizational planning, and studio growth.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Tech, QA, contractors, international resources, and external partners to resolve organizational and development issues.

Requirements

• Experience leading development and product organizations across a game portfolio.
• Capability to manage leadership development, performance management, succession planning, and organizational scaling.
• Experience with workforce planning, resource allocation, capacity forecasting, and development operations.
• Ability to evaluate portfolio investments, manage trade-offs, and translate strategy into executable development plans.
• Ability to work in a hybrid role based in Austin, Texas, United States.
