Character Animator (Motion Capture)

What you will do

• Create keyframe and motion-capture animation for humanoid and creature characters.
• Deliver high-quality animation assets according to client requirements with limited Lead Artist supervision.
• Communicate task progress and obtain guidance and approvals from the Lead Artist.
• Process motion-capture data, including overlay animation, retargeting, story, and constraints.
• Refine artistic skills and learn new software packages and in-house tools.
• Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of Maya, Motion Builder, or 3ds Max, including when to use each tool.
• Familiarity with game engine technologies such as Unity and Unreal Engine.
• Good understanding of posing, timing, spacing, and exaggeration.
• Experience with motion-capture post-processing, overlay animation, retargeting, story, and constraints.
• Ability to receive constructive feedback, communicate effectively, and work independently.
• Flexibility in using different software packages and a strong team-player attitude.
