Head of Billing & Collections (Fintech)

What you will do

• Build, manage, and develop the Billing, Reconciliation, and Collections team, including KPIs, SLAs, controls, and escalation procedures.
• Own the end-to-end billing-to-cash lifecycle across recurring, usage-based, transaction-based, and success-based billing models.
• Lead accounts receivable and collections performance, including overdue, disputed, high-risk, and material customer balances.
• Strengthen controls for refunds, credits, write-offs, billing exceptions, reconciliation, and revenue leakage.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data, Finance, Sales, Customer Success, and Legal to improve billing infrastructure and resolve complex issues.
• Provide reporting and weekly and monthly forecasts covering billing, collections, AR, aging, DSO, disputes, credits, refunds, and cash expectations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, collections, or finance operations.
• 3+ years managing a billing or collections function or team of at least 10 people.
• Proven ownership of complex, high-volume billing operations and variable or usage-based pricing models.
• Strong knowledge of billing, AR, collections, payment reconciliation, and financial controls.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, plus experience with accounting, billing, CRM, and payment systems.
• Strong written and verbal English is required, with the ability to work directly with senior customer Finance and Accounts Payable teams.
