Internship - 1D Dynamic Simulations for Engine Development (m/f/d) (Gas Engines)

Salary: At least EUR 2,698.59 gross per month, paid 14 times per year

What you will do

• Develop finite element methods for core engine components used across INNIO Jenbacher products.
• Build and analyze 1D dynamic models for valvetrains and torsional vibrations.
• Validate simulation models against existing test data.
• Develop improved test methods to address gaps in technical understanding.
• Collaborate with Production, Application Engineering, and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Provide design advice and deepen technical knowledge of industrial gas engine development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, completed or in progress.
• Passion for mechanical engineering, structural analysis, and reciprocating gas engines.
• Strong interest in simulation.
• Strong interest and experience with Python and data visualization methods.
• Self-driven, curious, analytical, and solution-oriented approach.
• Solid communication skills in English.
