Software Engineer II (.NET/Azure)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend applications and business functionality using .NET Core, Azure, microservices, SQL, and AKS.
• Define, design, and deliver new features in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Build and implement server-side solutions, APIs, asynchronous processes, and event-driven applications.
• Deploy applications to Azure, manage containers and Kubernetes workloads, and support continuous delivery.
• Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, fix bugs, and maintain code quality and organization.
• Understand functional requirements and ensure solutions follow best-practice design patterns.

Requirements

• At least a four-year degree in Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Professional experience with .NET using C#, .NET Core, or .NET 5.0.
• Hands-on expertise with Entity Framework Core, including Database First or Code First approaches.
• Experience with SQL Server, database queries, stored procedures, database objects, and SSIS packages or jobs.
• Experience deploying web applications and APIs on Azure, including Azure App Service, App Service Plan, or Azure Kubernetes Service, as well as containers and container registries.
• Knowledge of microservices, object-oriented design, design patterns, multithreaded applications, Git, CI/CD, and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub, and JIRA.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of React, JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, UI design, and basic prototyping.
• Experience in insurance or reinsurance.
