Engineering Manager

What you will do

• Provide engineering leadership across a business domain or project team while meeting delivery responsibilities.
• Manage, mentor, and coach engineering managers and engineers across different experience levels.
• Support career development, performance management, recruitment, retention, and team effectiveness.
• Shape engineering culture, shared ways of working, quality standards, and collaboration across disciplines.
• Contribute to technology stack, software development lifecycle, security, compliance, and technical strategy decisions.
• Spend approximately 50% of capacity implementing code and improving software delivery methods.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on leadership experience in software engineering and the software development lifecycle.
• Experience with agile practices, iterative product development, cross-functional teams, and multi-team programmes.
• Experience managing managers or a strong interest in developing management skills in this area.
• Demonstrated ability to grow people through delegation, coaching, and mentoring.
• Strong communication, organizational, decision-making, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English is required for day-to-day collaboration and communication.
