TL;DR
Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Manager (Medical Devices): Leading supplier quality engineering teams across Colorado sites and managing supplied product and process quality with an accent on purchasing controls, regulatory compliance, and supplier performance improvement. Focus on resolving nonconformances, leading CAPA and audit activities, reducing quality risks, and developing direct reports.

Location: Boulder, Colorado, United States; onsite at least five days per week. The role supports the Boulder, Parker, and Louisville sites.

Salary: $171,200–$256,800 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

  • Lead a team of Supplier Quality Engineers responsible for the quality of supplied components, materials, and services.
  • Manage supplier and team performance monitoring, including training, nonconformances, open actions, Supplier CAPA, change control, and improvement programs.
  • Lead cross-functional investigations and corrective or preventive actions for supplier-related quality and compliance issues.
  • Oversee external supplied products, purchased-material conformity, and nonconforming product management.
  • Support purchasing-control compliance, notified-body audits, and FDA inspections.
  • Set performance goals, conduct reviews and one-to-ones, and coach and develop direct reports.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field plus 7+ years of engineering, quality, or regulated-industry experience and 5+ years of leadership experience; alternatively, an advanced degree plus 5+ years of relevant experience and 5+ years of leadership experience.
  • Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at the time of hire and throughout employment.
  • Work must be performed onsite at the Colorado campus locations.
  • A qualifying degree under 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required for degrees earned outside the United States.

Nice to have

  • MBA or master’s degree in engineering, science, or a technical field.
  • ASQ CQE, CQA, or CSQP certification.
  • First Time Quality Coach, Six Sigma, Lean Green Belt, or Lean Black Belt certification.
  • Strong communication, organizational, project planning, influencing, negotiation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
  • Experience leading change initiatives and communicating complex technical risks to senior management.
