Senior Database Administrator (DBA), Infra

What you will do

• Build, maintain, and optimize database environments for cross-border payment products using Alibaba Cloud, Google Cloud, and similar platforms.
• Develop automated scripts and programs for configuring and managing database instances and tables.
• Plan and maintain database backup, recovery, governance, security, and reliability processes.
• Define database table standards and participate in storage architecture and data structure design reviews.
• Design monitoring systems and middleware to identify performance issues and maintain consistency and high availability.
• Partner with business teams to implement database standards and architectures that support business growth.

Requirements

• More than 4 years of database experience in the Internet industry, including management of large clusters and relational database design.
• Advanced PostgreSQL high-availability and cluster management skills, including synchronization, storage mechanisms, and pgpool-II.
• Proficiency in Redis and Redis Cluster management and best practices.
• Experience with Linux commands and shell scripting, plus proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, learning, and ownership skills, with experience managing small or medium-sized projects.
• Must be based in Seoul, South Korea.

Nice to have

• Experience managing multiple database centers and distributed databases.
• Experience with Kafka, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL interaction, SSD database optimization, or database container management.
• Experience with Ansible, Puppet, Salt, or Terraform.
