Salary: $110,000–$160,000 per year

What you will do
- Create firmware verification plans covering NVMe standards, enterprise SSD protocols, and customer specifications such as SMART, Trim, Get Log Page, and OCP.
- Design and deploy white-box, grey-box, and black-box Python automation tests for security protocols and firmware functionality.
- Execute end-to-end testing across simulation environments, FPGA prototypes, and prototype SSD hardware.
- Analyze regression failures, identify root causes of complex firmware defects, and drive issue resolution.
- Collaborate with firmware development teams during code reviews to improve software architecture, test coverage, and code quality.
- Own test reporting and communicate technical challenges, solutions, and mitigation plans to engineering teams and management.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Digital Sciences, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Five years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the offered position or an engineering-related occupation.
- Experience with SSD firmware testing or development and SSD or NAND Flash industry development.
- Experience developing code in Python, C/C++, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of NVMe, ONFI, and TCG Opal storage protocols.
- Experience with Agile development, Git workflows, test automation, continuous integration, and automated build systems.
