Automotive Technician (Automotive)

Location: Onsite in Lafayette or Broussard, Louisiana, United States

Compensation: Up to $45 per hour, with a sign-on bonus available for top technicians.

What you will do

• Diagnose and repair domestic and foreign vehicles across a wide range of makes and models.
• Complete accurate and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
• Troubleshoot guest concerns with technicians and the service department.
• Follow safety, cleanliness, organization, and repair quality standards.
• Communicate vehicle concerns clearly and work with the team to meet deadlines and hourly goals.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as an automotive technician or mechanic.
• Strong automotive diagnostic and repair skills, with the ability to work on all makes and models.
• Personal investment in tools and the ability to flag 30 or more hours per week, depending on shop needs.
• Professional appearance, positive attitude, strong communication, and willingness to develop additional skills.
• Ability to lift or move more than 50 pounds occasionally, work under raised vehicles and in tight spaces, stand or walk for most of the workday, drive manual transmissions, and use hand tools and computers.

Nice to have

• ASE A1-A8 certifications.
