Salary: US employees: $200,700–$250,900 USD; Canadian employees: $189,700–$237,100 CAD

What you will do

• Embed with product teams to improve operational maturity through on-call, monitoring, alerting, and runbook practices.
• Run game day exercises and help teams investigate and remediate incidents quickly.
• Implement reliability techniques in Haskell and TypeScript, including retries, improved error handling, logging, and circuit breaking.
• Define meaningful SLOs tied to customer outcomes and champion reliability through design and code reviews.
• Identify and close observability gaps affecting debugging, incident response, and business intelligence.
• Participate in on-call rotations and drive longer-term improvements in incident learning and engineering processes.

Requirements

• Previous Site Reliability Engineering or DevOps experience.
• Measurable experience influencing an organization toward greater reliability.
• Significant experience with PostgreSQL.
• Experience authoring and operating Temporal workflows.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Grafana or Honeycomb.
• Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and application code written in Haskell and TypeScript.
