TL;DR
Intern -- AI/ML Data Engineer (AI/ML and LLMs): Building scalable machine learning and LLM-powered data analysis solutions for structured and unstructured enterprise data with an accent on anomaly detection, data pipelines, and AI-to-data-system integration. Focus on implementing MCP frameworks, optimizing natural language interfaces, and designing analytics models across large-scale data platforms.
Location: Remote, Mexico

What you will do
- Identify and document high-impact business problems with stakeholders and define potential analytics solutions.
- Apply machine learning and statistical techniques to time-series classification and telemetry anomaly detection.
- Build scalable models using structured and unstructured heterogeneous data.
- Integrate large language models into data pipelines and analytics workflows through APIs.
- Implement Model Context Protocol frameworks and develop LLM-powered data analysis tools and natural language interfaces.
- Collaborate with BI analysts and engineers, design data storage architectures, and present delivered solutions.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
- Strong data wrangling skills and proficiency in Python and/or SQL.
- Experience with REST APIs, API integration patterns, and JSON/XML data manipulation.
- Familiarity with large language model APIs such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Azure OpenAI.
- Understanding of Model Context Protocol or similar AI integration frameworks, plus prompt engineering and LLM optimization techniques.
- Ability to commit to a 10–12 week internship.
Nice to have
- Experience with AI/ML libraries such as LangChain, OpenAI SDK, or transformers.
- Understanding of vector databases and embedding techniques.
- Experience with additional data manipulation platforms.
