Sr. Software Engineer (Ecommerce)

Location: Poland; hybrid role

Salary: 264,000–376,000 PLN per year

What you will do

• Build and expand customer-facing backend services supporting e-commerce across web, retail, and other sales channels.
• Design and develop scalable backend platforms and services for internal and external users.
• Lead delivery of initiatives ranging from small improvements to large, high-impact projects.
• Guide strategic technical decisions that support reliable execution and strong stakeholder relationships.
• Collaborate daily with engineers, designers, and product managers in an agile environment.
• Mentor junior engineers and support team growth.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience, including leadership of high-impact projects.
• Professional experience with Java, Kotlin, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience building and scaling RESTful microservices and large-scale event processing or messaging systems such as Kafka and Amazon SQS.
• Experience with data stores including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, DynamoDB, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Docker, Kubernetes, cloud infrastructure such as AWS or GCP, and unit testing or test-driven development.
• Experience with mentoring, end-to-end feature ownership, cross-functional collaboration, GraphQL, and monitoring tools such as DataDog.

Nice to have

• Experience with e-commerce products.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript frameworks such as React and Next.js.
• Experience using AI tools in daily engineering work.
• DevOps mindset and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
