What you will do

• Review work plans with the Performing Authority and verify that hazards, risk assessments, controls, certificates, and Control of Work documentation are complete and accurate.
• Visit worksites to prepare HITRA assessments, confirm that hazards and controls are understood, attend toolbox talks, and authorize work to begin.
• Monitor permitted activities during shifts, especially during the first hour after permit issuance, and coordinate safe execution around SIMOPS.
• Approve energy-isolation designs, verify positive isolation for hot work and confined-space entry, and coordinate electrical reviews and certificates with the station SAEP.
• Maintain the station isolation register, authorize sanction-to-test activities, close permits, and confirm that worksites are safe, clean, and tidy after completion.
• Lead shift handovers, attend daily permit and SIMOPS meetings, record lessons learned in WorkSafe, and conduct self-verification audits.

Requirements

• Experience coordinating permit-to-work and Control of Work activities in an operational worksite environment.
• Knowledge of hazard identification, risk assessment, ALARP principles, HITRA, and worksite safety controls.
• Ability to manage energy isolation, positive isolation, electrical certificates, and sanction-to-test processes.
• Ability to monitor hot work, confined-space entry, and simultaneous operations safely.
• Ability to conduct detailed shift handovers, maintain isolation records, and verify permit closure conditions.
