Senior Lead - Developer Community Growth (C++/QML)

Location: Hybrid position based in Espoo or Oulu, Finland

What you will do

• Define the developer community strategy within Qt's go-to-market motion.
• Identify and prioritize communities to grow, including the C++/QML core community, universities, events, forums, and emerging language ecosystems.
• Establish and track KPIs for community activation, retention, and expansion.
• Lead and coach virtual teams of internal and external community program contributors.
• Own forums, ambassador and contributor programs, university partnerships, learning content, and events.
• Partner with Marketing, UX/Product, R&D, and Customer Engineering to remove barriers across the developer journey.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in developer relations, community management, or developer marketing, ideally in open source.
• 2+ years managing project teams and individual contributors.
• Technical fluency in C++ and QML, plus familiarity with languages or technologies such as Python, Rust, C#, TypeScript/JavaScript, or React.
• Data-driven approach with experience setting baselines and KPIs such as activation, retention, and NPS.
• Experience using forums, hackathons, events, university partnerships, and collaborations to reach developers.
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills, including experience acting as a community spokesperson.

• Experience growing developer communities in emerging language ecosystems.
• Experience with AI-assisted development and vibe-coding tools or workflows.
• Experience partnering with universities on developer education or student ambassador programs.
