Focus on developing customer-specific solutions, scaling products from lab to production, analyzing competitive performance, and translating global upstream strategy into China-market execution.
Location: Remote - China. Up to 30% travel within China is required for customer visits, trials, and technical support.

What you will do
- Provide technical expertise to customers and sales teams on upstream product usage, formulation adjustments, and performance optimization.
- Conduct lab-scale and pilot-scale trials and troubleshoot product performance, stability, and compatibility issues.
- Develop customer-specific solutions, technical documentation, application guidelines, case studies, and training sessions.
- Collaborate with R&D and product development teams on China-specific requirements, formulation improvements, and product scale-up.
- Analyze competitor products, market trends, and unmet customer needs across China.
- Support regulatory compliance and preparation of technical dossiers for product registration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Life Science, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- More than 3 years of experience in technical support, application development, or related biopharmaceutical upstream roles.
- Hands-on experience with lab- and pilot-scale equipment and testing methodologies.
- Knowledge of mammalian cell culture, including CHO and HEK293, or microbial fermentation using E. coli and yeast.
- Experience with bench- to pilot-scale bioreactors, fed-batch, perfusion, high-density cultures, media development, feeding strategies, and process parameter optimization.
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, forecasting, customer-facing, and problem-solving skills; willingness to work flexible hours.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of process analytical technology (PAT) or design of experiments (DOE).
- Familiarity with China market dynamics, business policies, and regulations.
