What you will do
- Design, train, and optimize machine learning and deep learning solutions for sensor fusion, 3D object detection, classification, segmentation, tracking, scene understanding, and behavior modeling.
- Build and maintain data and training pipelines covering curation, labeling, augmentation, and evaluation, including work with limited or sensitive data.
- Calibrate and align sensors across the perception suite and correct drift caused by changing field conditions.
- Integrate, validate, and deploy production-ready models optimized for real-time inference on embedded, SWaP-constrained, and ruggedized hardware.
- Collaborate with System Engineering, Planning, and other teams to develop a safe, resilient, and deployable perception stack.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience with a strong technical background in robotics, machine learning, computer science, artificial intelligence, or mathematics.
- Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow and end-to-end model development.
- Strong knowledge of linear algebra, probability and estimation theory, data structures, algorithm design, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with C/C++ and Python, plus strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Self-starting approach demonstrated through hobby programming or personal robotics projects.
