What you will do

  • Own the end-to-end roadmap and architecture for Active Control Functions on the demonstrator platform.
  • Define and arbitrate top-level functional requirements across Overall Aircraft Design, Flight Control Systems, sensors, and data science.
  • Lead the deployment of AI capabilities, including coordination with Airbus AI initiatives and strategic partners.
  • Support aircraft-level trade-offs for active control applications and drive multidisciplinary technical convergence.
  • Report progress, communicate AI strategy, and present flight-test results to executive stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or PhD in aerospace engineering, automatic control, flight physics, computational sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong background in Overall Aircraft Design, flight dynamics, aeroelasticity, or flight control systems.
  • Hands-on experience or strong working knowledge of machine learning applied to physical systems, such as surrogate modelling, CFD or loads neural networks, and real-time data fusion.
  • Experience deriving multidisciplinary system requirements and working with flight-test operations, telemetry exploitation, or hardware-in-the-loop validation.
  • Strategic vision, high autonomy, and cross-functional leadership skills, including influencing without direct authority.
  • Fluent English is mandatory, with strong presentation skills for communicating complex technical concepts to executive audiences.
