TL;DR
Team Lead – Quantum Monitoring & Recalibration (Quantum Computing/Python): Building and operating monitoring and recalibration products for cat-qubit quantum processing units with an accent on automated measurement workflows, data validation, and system availability. Focus on defining reliable calibration graphs, assessing fit quality and uncertainty, and leading an interdisciplinary team of quantum experimentalists, data engineers, and software developers.
Location: Paris, France; hybrid workplace

Alice & Bob develops cat-qubit quantum processing units and software for monitoring and maintaining their performance.
What you will do
- Own monitoring and recalibration graphs, defining measurements, systems, cadence, ordering, and execution conditions.
- Ensure dashboard data quality through fit validation, thresholds, and rejection criteria.
- Define product performance metrics based on internal user and customer needs, and improve them over time.
- Operate and improve the production monitoring and recalibration service, resolving failures and increasing QPU availability.
- Set technical direction, software engineering standards, team rituals, hiring, and individual development.
- Coordinate with experimental and software teams on requirements, priorities, timelines, and shared code.
Requirements
- PhD in experimental quantum physics, ideally with hands-on experience in superconducting circuits.
- Experience turning research prototypes into reliable products and automating measurement and calibration of quantum systems.
- Strong data analysis and statistical skills, including fit quality, residuals, uncertainty analysis, and validation methodology.
- Good Python proficiency and familiarity with workflow orchestration, DAGs, scheduling, conditional execution, version control, and CI.
- Experience leading a team or project in an interdisciplinary environment involving physicists, software engineers, or data engineers.
- Fluent English required; French is a plus.
