Release Manager/Test Manager

What you will do

• Own release and branch governance across the core SDLC and customer-specific delivery streams.
• Define and enforce branching, versioning, merge, cherry-pick, tagging, and change-traceability standards.
• Design and run sprint-style release cadences for priority customer features, including scope control and production readiness.
• Plan annual major releases, interim minor releases, patches, hotfixes, and BAU fixes with Product, Development, QA, business, and client stakeholders.
• Lead release readiness gates, defect triage, go/no-go forums, post-release validation, and lessons-learned activities.
• Improve Azure DevOps and GitHub Enterprise workflows, release automation, operational controls, and release performance metrics.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in software delivery, release management, DevOps, or a related IT discipline.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience managing multi-branch release models in an enterprise software environment.
• Practical expertise with Git branching strategies, merge and cherry-pick workflows, conflict resolution, and change traceability.
• Intermediate-to-advanced experience with GitHub Enterprise and Azure DevOps, including pipelines, approvals, and release controls.
• Experience with risk-based testing, regression planning, defect triage, release sign-off gates, and senior stakeholder communication.
• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent commercial experience.

Nice to have

• Experience in financial services, funds management, or another regulated domain.
• Exposure to .NET Core, web applications, and SQL Server-based products.
• Experience defining release metrics and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Familiarity with audit and compliance expectations for controlled production releases.
• Scrum Master, Agile, ITIL, DevOps, or related certification.
