DevOps and Software Engineering Intern (CI/CD)

Location: On-site in Kulim, Malaysia

hirify.global develops semiconductor technologies and manufacturing systems, with this role supporting the Foundry Automation group.

What you will do

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code solutions, and software deployment workflows.
• Build operational reporting tools to improve efficiency.
• Identify automation opportunities for server and storage operations with IT Infrastructure engineers.
• Deploy and decommission physical servers in the data center, including operating system installation and configuration.
• Automate the infrastructure lifecycle from provisioning through monitoring.
• Improve IT infrastructure deployment software and operational reliability.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools and practices, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Familiarity with at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, C# or Java.
• Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP, and containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems and command-line tools.
• Availability for a minimum internship period of 6 months and on-site work in Kulim, Malaysia.

Nice to have

• Experience with version control systems and automated testing tools.
• Knowledge of system design principles and distributed systems architecture.
• Interest in DevOps methodologies and infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with container orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes.
