Senior MES Recipe Designer (TypeScript)

Location: Fully site-based in Stein, AG, Switzerland. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates and their families.

What you will do

• Configure and continuously optimize MES recipes, digital production workflows, and shop-floor batch records.
• Translate manufacturing specifications into reliable MES solutions for production operations.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Process Owners, Automation, and IT/OT teams to integrate MES with SAP, LIMS, and automation platforms.
• Develop, test, and maintain MES functionality using TypeScript while ensuring data integrity and compliant process execution.
• Improve processes, data flows, and system interfaces to increase manufacturing efficiency and automation.
• Provide MES subject matter expertise, production support, troubleshooting, and ongoing capability development.

Requirements

• Professional experience configuring, developing, or programming MES systems rather than using them solely as an end user.
• Solid understanding of GMP-regulated manufacturing environments and experience translating production requirements into compliant digital solutions.
• Hands-on programming experience with a modern programming language and a strong interest in manufacturing applications.
• Fluent English communication skills are essential.
• Proactive, analytical approach with the ability to identify improvements across systems and interfaces.
