Software Engineer – IMC Platform and Cluster Infrastructure (Linux/Kubernetes)

What you will do

• Support Linux platform integration, system administration, networking, filesystems, storage, and performance tuning in production environments.
• Provision and administer Kubernetes clusters, containerized applications, and distributed computing environments.
• Automate installation, validation, monitoring, configuration, and deployment workflows using Python, Bash, Ansible, and related tools.
• Evaluate and qualify server platforms, including BIOS, BMC/IPMI firmware, hardware health, GPU drivers, and system configurations.
• Support secure, mission-critical, and air-gapped customer deployments, upgrades, installations, and critical issue resolution.
• Collaborate with vendors, software, systems, hardware, field, and customer teams while supporting platform deployments and qualifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in Linux system administration, infrastructure engineering, platform engineering, or deployment engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, networking, TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, filesystems, storage, system services, and fault isolation.
• Experience with Python or Bash scripting, Ansible, infrastructure automation, cluster provisioning, configuration management, and Linux software deployment.
• Understanding of server hardware, operating system deployment, hardware-software dependencies, and platform integration.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for platform deployments, customer installations, upgrades, and field support.

Nice to have

• Experience with CUDA, NVIDIA GPUs, AI/ML infrastructure, RDMA, RoCE, InfiniBand, Mellanox/NVIDIA networking, and high-speed Ethernet.
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, Git, CI/CD, Helm, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automated release management.
• Experience with Linux device drivers, kernel modules, operating system internals, and performance optimization.
