What you will do

  • Design, develop, and own Hardware-in-the-Loop test infrastructure for embedded software and firmware verification.
  • Build scalable test stations for microcontrollers, FPGAs, GPUs, SoCs, and custom compute hardware.
  • Develop Python-based automated test frameworks covering software loading, boot sequences, runtime performance, functional behavior, and system requirements.
  • Integrate physical hardware with Kubernetes and CI/CD workflows for reservation, flashing, test execution, and result review.
  • Build hardware reservation, scheduling, orchestration, and resource-management capabilities.
  • Collaborate with software, firmware, FPGA, avionics, electrical, and systems engineers while supporting board bring-up, lab automation, and prototype testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Professional experience with Python, automated test frameworks such as pytest or Robot Framework, and Linux development environments.
  • Experience with embedded software and firmware workflows, including flashing, booting, debugging, and runtime validation.
  • Experience with serial, JTAG, SWD, or similar hardware debug interfaces, plus the ability to read electrical schematics.
  • Basic understanding of Kubernetes, containerized infrastructure, and modern CI/CD systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot across hardware, firmware, software, and infrastructure boundaries in a laboratory environment.

Nice to have

  • Experience with HITL or automated hardware test systems and hardware validation in CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with board bring-up, lab automation, instrument control, power sequencing, or custom power delivery.
  • Familiarity with FPGA workflows and VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
  • Experience with networking, distributed systems, Kubernetes infrastructure, or scalable engineering platforms.
