Senior Cost Accountant (Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Track daily production and scrap reporting for management.
• Analyze standard costs, inventory, bills of materials, routings, MRO expenses, and sub-inventory.
• Evaluate and follow up on engineering change requests and update sub-inventory records and adjustments.
• Maintain annual standard-cost updates and support cost-accounting integrity.
• Plan the annual physical inventory with the Materials Manager and prepare cost and variance analyses.
• Generate and review month-end journal entries, including accruals and material variances, and support other financial analyses requested by local and corporate management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or engineering.
• Bilingual Spanish-English communication skills are required.
• More than five years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, grouping, and subtotals.
• Problem-solving, initiative, teamwork, effective communication, and the ability to work under stress.

Nice to have

• Experience with Oracle.
• Experience with Power BI.
• Decision-making skills and communication at all organizational levels.
