What you will do

• Lead the rollout and end-to-end delivery of technology across consumer billing platforms.
• Design and evolve cloud-native billing solutions using microservices, API-first architecture and scalable integration patterns.
• Build, enhance, review and troubleshoot Java and Spring Boot backend services.
• Operate billing services in AWS and EKS with observability, logging, alerting, resilience and production-readiness controls.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, performance and incident-management practices.
• Provide technical direction through architecture and code reviews, mentoring and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices and API-first backend architecture.
• Proven expertise deploying and operating cloud-native applications in AWS and EKS, including containerisation, observability, resilience and CI/CD.
• Experience leading engineering delivery, making architectural decisions, mentoring engineers and driving operational excellence.
• Ability to work with Oracle DB, billing integrations, dependent systems and enterprise architecture.
• Experience with production support, root-cause analysis, resilience planning and stakeholder alignment across Product, Architecture, Security, QA and Operations.

Nice to have

• Consumer billing experience in telecoms or another large-scale enterprise environment.
• NetCracker RBM knowledge and billing-platform integration experience.
• Event-driven architecture, Domain-Driven Design and DevOps tooling experience.
• Experience applying AI technologies in software engineering or operational environments.
