Machine Learning Engineer (AI)

Location: Waterloolaan, Brussels, Belgium; willingness to travel and work with local and international clients is required.

What you will do

• Lead an internal team developing AI products and shape the future of Machine Learning Engineering expertise.
• Work as a Machine Learning Engineering expert on multidisciplinary client projects.
• Make architectural and design decisions for cloud environments.
• Build production-level ML/AI solutions using solid software engineering practices.
• Scale Data Scientists' models into production through parallelization, optimization, tuning, testing, and wrapping.
• Deliver trainings, lead meetings and workshops, organize events, and present technical expertise through articles, conferences, and press releases.

Requirements

• MSc-level education in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Artificial Intelligence, Embedded Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience building production-quality Machine Learning or Deep Learning pipelines and models.
• Strong Machine Learning fundamentals and expertise in a domain such as Computer Vision, Deep Learning, or NLP.
• Expert Python skills plus at least one of Scala, C++, or Java; experience with SQL or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; Unix command line, Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and big data technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
• Fluency in spoken and written English, French, and Dutch is required. Experience coaching or mentoring engineers and strong project, time-management, communication, and collaboration skills are expected.
