Global Category Manager Logistics and Warehousing 80-100% (f/m/d)

Location: Basel, Switzerland; primarily onsite with remote work permitted for no more than 20% of the time

What you will do

• Develop and implement global category and sourcing strategies for logistics, transportation, and warehousing services.
• Lead strategic sourcing projects, competitive tenders, supplier negotiations, and contract management.
• Build and manage savings pipelines, including forecasting, tracking, and realization of procurement benefits.
• Provide global procurement expertise, market intelligence, and strategic guidance for logistics and warehousing.
• Manage supplier selection, onboarding, performance, governance, resilience, innovation, and compliance.
• Drive stakeholder alignment, sustainability initiatives, digitalization, continuous improvement, and process harmonization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Significant experience in category management, strategic sourcing, and supplier relationship management in logistics, transportation, and warehousing.
• Strong negotiation, tendering, commercial contracting, and total cost of ownership analysis skills.
• Knowledge of logistics markets, freight modes, warehousing operations, Incoterms, service level agreements, and supplier performance management.
• Experience influencing senior stakeholders and managing complex global projects in a matrix organization.
• Experience with procurement and sourcing systems such as SAP, Ariba, or iCertis, plus fluency in English.
