Director, Back-end Engineering (eCommerce)

What you will do

• Lead the mobile, web, and backend teams responsible for hirify.global’s primary eCommerce experiences, including Home, Search, and Product List pages.
• Manage director-level leaders and senior staff engineers while ensuring reliable and stable online systems.
• Design and build solid, extensible system architectures with key stakeholders.
• Develop technical strategies, roadmaps, goals, milestones, and plans for business initiatives and engineering productivity.
• Collaborate with Cross-Domain, Product Management, Quality Assurance, and Operations teams.
• Mentor engineers and support career growth across individual contributor and management tracks.

Requirements

• At least 10 years of software engineering experience, preferably with customer-oriented applications and systems.
• Strong technical background in complex systems, architecture, and design; architect or chief architect experience is highly desirable.
• Proven experience leading and managing engineering teams on a challenging large-scale project.
• Ability to select and implement appropriate technologies and define engineering roadmaps.
• Demonstrated leadership in driving results, fostering collaboration, and inspiring teams.
• Strong problem-solving, systematic thinking, and entrepreneurial initiative.
