What you will do
- Lead and coordinate protection services operations covering employees, assets, infrastructure, information, and business activities.
- Identify and mitigate security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities, and oversee investigations and corrective actions.
- Manage security resources, performance indicators, service delivery, contingency planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and develop employees while managing performance, recruitment support, training, succession planning, and employee relations.
- Maintain security systems, access control processes, investigations, records, reports, and management information.
- Support compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements, company standards, SHEQ requirements, audits, and inspections.
Requirements
- Grade 12 and a National Advanced Certificate in Security Management or a related security, policing, risk management, or law enforcement qualification.
- PSIRA Grade A registration, PSIRA Armed Response qualification, and applicable firearm competency certifications.
- Competency to handle and use a handgun, shotgun, and self-loading rifle for business purposes.
- Valid B/Code 08 driver's licence, medical fitness certificate, no criminal record, and ability to pass required polygraph assessments.
- At least 6 years of experience in security, law enforcement, investigations, intelligence gathering, surveillance, or a related environment, including 5 years in security operations management.
- Experience managing security teams, contractors, and operational security programmes, preferably in mining, industrial, or high-risk environments.

- Tactical firearms qualification.
