Engineering Project Leader, Maglev Compressors

Location: On-site in Taicang, Jiangsu, or Shanghai, China, five days per week

What you will do

• Plan and manage maglev compressor design projects through engineering design release using a formal stage-gate process.
• Build and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams across system engineering, controls, heat exchangers, product, manufacturing, and related functions.
• Coordinate purchasing, machining, inspection, prototype assembly, and laboratory testing.
• Manage project communications, provide updates to leadership, and support stakeholder decisions.
• Transfer completed designs to production implementation teams and provide follow-up engineering support.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a directly related engineering discipline.
• At least 10 years of engineering and/or project leadership experience.
• Broad understanding of maglev compressors and their integration into HVAC systems.
• Strong verbal communication, technical writing, documentation, and presentation skills.
• Ability to adjust project strategy based on risks, design tradeoffs, schedules, budgets, product costs, and reliability.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally for up to one month at a time, depending on project needs.
