Director of Cybersecurity & IT

Location: Paris, France; hybrid work with 2 remote days per week, 1 remote week per quarter, and 3 flex days

What you will do

• Define and execute a multi-year cybersecurity and IT strategy, roadmap, investment plan, and operating model.
• Lead managers and senior experts across Security Operations, GRC, IT Operations Engineering, IT Support, and security engineering.
• Own strategic cyber risk management, governance, compliance, risk reporting, and executive communication.
• Partner with Engineering and Product to advance security-by-design, threat modeling, secure software development, and product security.
• Ensure reliable IT services for global offices and remote employees while improving automation, standardization, and operational resilience.
• Represent security maturity and risk posture to executives, investors, auditors, regulators, partners, and major customers.

Requirements

• 12–15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, information security, IT, or related technology leadership roles.
• At least 5 years of experience leading managers and multi-team organizations.
• Experience partnering strategically with a CTO, VP Engineering, executive committee, or equivalent senior leadership group.
• Strong expertise across security operations, cyber risk, governance, compliance, security architecture, product security, cloud security, IT operations, or corporate technology.
• Experience translating business strategy and risk appetite into security and IT roadmaps, investment plans, and operating models.
• Excellent written and verbal English required; French is a plus.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, CRISC, CCSP, or an equivalent certification.
• Experience with ISO 27001, PCI DSS, GDPR, NIS2, GCP, Kubernetes, Terraform, or cloud-native security tooling.
• Background in marketplaces, e-commerce, fintech, AI security, fraud prevention, third-party risk, or software supply chain security.
