General QA Engineer (Backend)

What you will do

• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and developers on a high-load telecom platform.
• Plan, design, execute, and follow up on test scenarios, strategies, and plans.
• Perform API, integration, regression, performance, and load testing across microservices.
• Test end-to-end data flows between services, databases, and message brokers.
• Develop and maintain automated tests and integrate them into CI pipelines.
• Prepare testing reports and documentation while investigating failures and service dependencies.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a QA Engineer with a backend focus.
• Strong knowledge of Java or TypeScript, test automation, CI pipelines, and testing methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing, including load profiles and analysis of latency, throughput, and error rates.
• Knowledge of SQL, Linux/UNIX command line, Bash, Git, TCP, HTTP, client-server, and microservices architectures.
• Experience with mock servers, Postman, IntelliJ IDEA, Jira, Confluence, Zephyr, GitLab, Jenkins, Kibana, and Grafana.
• Higher technical education or equivalent experience, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work in an Agile environment.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with high-load systems.
