Software Engineer - Mobile (Kotlin)

Location: Hybrid role based in Richmond, Melbourne, VIC, Australia

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain Android features in Kotlin from discovery through release and ongoing support.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and subject-matter experts to define scope, trade-offs, and incremental delivery.
• Own features end-to-end, including functionality, performance, accessibility, analytics, experimentation, and release readiness.
• Write high-quality, testable code and participate in code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to shared mobile platform components, standards, release triage, production support, observability, and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and runbooks.

Requirements

• Approximately 3–5 years of Android experience or equivalent impact, with Kotlin as the primary language.
• Strong UI engineering skills, including motion and animation, accessibility, and performance awareness.
• Pragmatic testing and continuous delivery mindset.
• Product engineering mindset with ownership of user outcomes and delivery.
• Collaborative communication skills and comfort with pairing and feedback.
• Experience in an agile environment and willingness to contribute beyond Android, including basic backend, web, or iOS work when needed.
