Principal HW/SW Co-Design (Embedded/MCU)

What you will do

• Lead low-level IP firmware and device-driver development for MCU and MPU platforms.
• Define reusable software architecture, API standards, and driver implementation frameworks.
• Deliver firmware solutions across RTL verification, virtual simulation, SoC verification, post-silicon validation, and SDK integration.
• Coordinate HW-SW development with hardware architects, SoC designers, verification teams, and central software teams.
• Review hardware register definitions, close HW-SW gaps, and maintain backward-compatible interfaces as hardware evolves.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and drive quality practices, documentation, reviews, and cross-team execution.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in MCU/MPU architecture or firmware development.
• Experience with RTL simulation and emulation, hardware and software verification environments, and RTL bring-up.
• Deep knowledge of low-level firmware, driver design, platform integration, ARM processor subsystems, debugging, and embedded RTOS.
• Proficiency in C, C++, Assembly, and at least one scripting language.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams, work across multiple sites and time zones, and mentor engineers.
